Traffic Monitor is a small floating window for Windows that sits on your desktop and shows you real-time information about your computer's performance. It displays your current internet speed, CPU usage, and memory usage — all at a glance. It's like having a tiny dashboard always visible so you can see how hard your computer is working without opening the Task Manager.

The app works by constantly monitoring your system in the background and updating the numbers on the floating window. You can customize what information appears, choose from different visual skins (themes), and even embed a smaller version into your Windows taskbar so the information blends seamlessly with your system clock and other taskbar icons. If you want to dig deeper, there's also detailed network information available, and the software can track your total data usage over time.

People use this mainly to keep tabs on their internet speed (useful when something feels slow), spot CPU or memory hogs chewing up resources, or just satisfy curiosity about what's happening under the hood. Streamers, gamers, and anyone dealing with slow computers find it handy. You can right-click the floating window to access menus, adjust text colors and fonts, or toggle features on and off.

The project comes in two versions: a full version with hardware monitoring (temperatures, GPU usage, disk activity) that needs administrator rights, and a lightweight "Lite" version without those extra features that runs without elevated permissions. If you don't need temperature readings or GPU monitoring, the Lite version is simpler and less demanding. The software also supports a plugin system, so developers can extend it with custom features, and there's an ecosystem of custom skins available if you want to change how it looks.
